WebTurning down shadow distance has insanely improved performance. As such, there is at least one mod (pc only I presume) that will dynamically adjust shadows to prop up frame rate where needed. Until recently I was running i7-3770 with a 1070 holding up largely well, minus some 30 FPS in downtown.
